The Lunar Society hosts it’s first ever poetry recital

Wow!  What a night!

The Lunar Society hosted it’s first ever poetry recital on 21 January 2026 and with over 45 people in attendance it was a huge success.

We were delighted to hear from 6 wonderful poets - Greg Leadbetter, Luke Kennard, Ayan Ade, Keith Bracey, Bohdan Piasecki and Tom Proverbs-Garbett.

The audience laughed along, got goosebumps, listened attentively to the fantastic poems which ranged from topics on AI, our need for materials things, death and war.

The audience also had a go at writing their own poems and thoughts, from which we aim to produce a ‘found’ poem, to be published on our website and socials/newsletter – so watch this space.

The venue, Kitchen Garden Café, was the perfect spot for such a wonderful cultural event with its bohemian styling.  Our sincere thanks to Tracey Fletcher and her team for hosting us.
