SUPPER IN THE GARDEN: annual garden party

Members and guests enjoyed a wonderful evening at our annual Garden Party at Winterbourne House & Garden last week. 

Those in attendance enjoyed great food, excellent company and the chance to relax in the beautiful gardens on a lovely spring evening.

We were also treated to a fascinating and insightful talk from Dr Phil Burton-Cartledge, Programme Leader & Senior Lecturer of Sociology at the University of Derby, who explored the shifting political landscape across Birmingham and the wider UK, and what recent local election results may tell us about the future of politics.

The audience brought plenty of thoughtful and challenging questions, leading to a lively discussion on where Birmingham and the UK may be heading politically in the years ahead.
