birmingham’s economic miracle - how we make sure everyone benefits

The Society was joined by Professor Rebecca Riley (Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Regional Engagement, Professor of Enterprise, Engagement and Impact UoB), Raj Kandola (Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce) and John Street (free@last) to discuss how they thought Birmingham could grow in a way where everyone benefits, rather than a select few.

The evening kicked off with Profession Riley giving her view on the subject and was followed by a lively panel discussion with Raj Kandola and John Green, being joined by our Vice Chair, Joe Gaytten.  Each panellist reflected on Professor Riley’s talk and gave their feedback.  This was followed by an interesting Q&A session with those present.

Our thanks to the University of Birmingham for hosting and sponsoring this event.
