climate change working party

The Climate Change Working Party (CCWP) tracks the evolution of the production of fossil-free energy technologies, through the daily monitoring of internet news and exchanging ideas with its members.

We also visit exhibitions and take part in conferences related to the production and management of fossil-free power acquired by wind, solar, tidal, nuclear, geothermal and other sources of fossil free energy such as organic waste. The CCWP produces a report for the Executive each quarter of the year, of activities of the group during that period. We advise local authorities on their energy saving measures and collection of organic of food waste.

We are particularly concerned about the timely conversion of diesel powered heavy freight vehicles including trains, to hydrogen-electric power where the load weights and voyage distances require more energy stored on board, that cannot be efficiently carried by batteries alone.
