An optimist and closet futurist, Hope has worked in multiple domains over a varied career in professional services to help teams adopt and use new technologies. Focusing on the areas of data governance, risk and security to ensure successful outcomes. With a strong interest in digital accessibility Hope has trained as an accessibility auditor, championed best practices in application development pipelines and runs an internal community supporting disabled employees.
Hope is particularly proud of the volunteering work she’s participated in over the last few years, from planting trees at the Centre of the Earth to working as stage crew for a charity pantomime production at the Alexandra Theatre. All of which she’s found very rewarding in terms of seeing the effects on the local community.
Currently working as a solutions architect to build accessible software, Hope has a keen interest in how technology is going to help shape the future of Birmingham and getting involved with community projects. Outside of work Hope is an avid video gamer and also enjoys pottering around the independent shops and gardens of the city.
