Responding to Francis: Patients First and Foremost regional event

Department of Health Event:Responding to Francis: Patients First and Foremost regional…

We still have availability for the last of our five regional events that we have been holding over the last few weeks to discuss the national and local response to the Francis Report. The final event will be held in Birmingham on Wednesday 7th August. This is an opportunity for national organisations – the Department of Health, Care Quality Commission, NHS England and Health Education England – and local organisations in health and social care to meet and discuss the actions they are taking forward. Jon Rouse, Director General for Social Care, Local Government and Care Partnerships at the Department of Health will chair the event. This event is open to anyone working at any level, either in or with health and social care, who have an interest in taking forward the collective response to Francis.

The implications of Francis – on transparency and candour, leadership, information, safety and compassionate care – extend far beyond the acute sector. These events bring together insights from local conversations and local best practice with the latest picture from the national organisations tasked with developing and implementing the system-wide response to Francis.
