2008 Annual Lecture by the UK's CMO Sir Liam Donaldson
1st OCTOBER 2008: We're delighted to announce that the 2008 Annual Lecture will be on 5 March 2008, and will be delivered by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Sir Liam Donaldson.
As the UK's CMO, Sir Liam is the UK Government's principal medical adviser and the professional head of all medical staff in England. He is no stranger to this city, having trained as a surgeon in Birmingham early in his career.
