Antique Discovery Day

Erasmus Darwin House is delighted to announce that on Thursday 1^st March 2012 the museum will host an Antiques Valuation Day in conjunction with Hansons Auctioneers of Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

We will be welcoming, straight from his exploits on BBC's Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Roadtrip, Charles Hanson to appraise your treasures. If you have a family heirloom, a treasured momento or just an interesting piece you picked up at a car boot sale and would love to know more about it, bring it along between 10.00 & 4.00pm and the experts will be happy to take a look.

Alison Wallis, curator of the museum, said “we’re so excited to have Charles back; he’s always been a great supporter of the museum. Last year was really successful for both the museum and Charles, he found some fascinating pieces so we’re all really looking forward to what treasures we can discover this year”.

Entry to the Museum is free on this day and refreshments will be available in our Georgian tearoom.

There will be a small charge of £1 per item assessed and all monies raised will go to the upkeep and running costs of Lichfield's hidden gem, Erasmus Darwin House.
