Birmingham Contemporary Music Group: Insight Event in collaboration with the Society
28th AUGUST 2008: Lunar Society member Professor Michael Overduin has been working with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group on a Wellcome Trust-funded project linking scientists and music. As the culmination of the Resonance Project, this event will involve young string players from String Quartets from Scratch and BCMG players performing the quartets the young people have written (possibly with visuals). Michael will give us an introduction to the building of which he is Executive Director, while Nancy Evans, Education Officer at BCMG, will give an introduction to the Resonance Project before leading discussion with the scientists and composers who have been involved.
