The Lunar Society Badge
The idea of a Lunar Society badge was first raised in 2004 when Anne Worley was Chairman. What emerged was the Lunar Society Medal.
The importance of attracting and retaining members has been an ongoing discussion for the Executive Committee. More recent discussions in 2009 on conferring a sense of belonging to the Society as part of the process of attracting and retaining members has re-kindled the idea of a Lunar Society badge available to all members. Several design ideas were commissioned in early 2009 by the Membership Committee. These were consulted upon at the AGM 2009. The outcome of this consultation with members was the production of a small lapel badge for members to wear.
These badges will be launched and distributed to members at the AGM on 14th July 2010. The first badge will be free to all existing members and joining members. Thereafter, any additional or replacement badge(s) will cost £4.
If you are unable to attend the AGM badges will be available at future events.
