Birmingham Future’s Mentoring Scheme has been designed to assist with the development of the city’s future professional service leaders.

We recruit mentors with over 4 years’ professional experience to facilitate the personal and professional development of junior professionals by focusing on real learning needs. Our mentors act as a ‘sounding board’ for problems, queries or issues which may arise in day to day working life, and a catalyst for understanding the issue and its possible solutions.

Having a mentor’s support and guidance can lead to increased confidence, the opportunity to draw on someone else’s experience, encouragement, and constructive criticism, opportunities for professional growth, the chance to discover alternative perspectives and the opportunity to expand networks of professional contacts.
