Celebrating Darwin: Is Human Evolution over?
Birmingham’s central role in the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution was partly influenced by the Lunar Society, which counted James Watt, Joseph Priestly and Erasmus Darwin – grandfather of famous Origin of the Species author Charles Darwin – amongst its members. At the close of the bicentenary of Charles Darwin’s birth, eminent biologist Professor Steve Jones, Professor of Genetics at University College London, looks to the next 200 years: is human evolution over? His lecture will be held at the Birmingham Town Hall on Sunday 15th November at 15.00. Click here to book tickets
