Visit to Birmingham Post & Mail @ Fort Dunlop
On 6th October 2009, Marc Reeves, Editor, Birmingham Post and Lunarman, welcomed members of the Society to BPM Media, a purpose-built multi media newsroom in the historic Fort Dunlop building in Erdington.
Members received a guided tour of the facility – the largest such newsroom in the UK regional press and shown the multi media control ‘hub’ and BPM Media’s TV studios and video editing facilities. During the visit, Marc Reeves, who is also the company’s regional head of online content development, talked about the challenges facing the industry and how traditional titles like the Post and the Birmingham Mail are meeting them. The tour was followed by a buffet supper.
