Peak Oil: Implications for Business, Planning and Transport 1st July 2009
This is a joint event being organised by the Lunar Society, the regional branch of the Transport Planning Society and Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Leading expert David Strahan FRSA, award winning investigative journalist and documentary-maker, and author of The Last Oil Shock will talk about what Peak Oil is and what it means for business, planning and transport.
With 95% of transport dependent on oil for fuel and the price of most other forms of energy closely linked to the price of oil, this would represent a major challenge to our way of life and the way we do business.
