Derek Hathaway receives OBE
As reported in the Society news section earlier in the year, the self-made Birmingham businessman and Lunarman Derek Hathaway received his OBE at the Palace on 26th November 2008.
This was given in recognition of his charity work and services to industry in Britain and the United States. He has also been a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor which recognises people born outside the USA but have since gone on to do great things there.
