Gisela Stuart MP - Climate Change Listening Panel with Professor Julia King
Edgbaston constituents and interested Lunar Society Members are invited to Gisela Stuart's Listening Panel on Climate Change on Thursday 4 December at 7:30pm at Onnerley House in Harborne.The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed Climate Change Bill. One of the proposals of the Bill is to establish a Committee on Climate Change, made up of independent experts tasked with helping the Government reduce carbon emissions.
Professor Julia King, who is a member of the current Government Committee, will be coming and will discuss the work of the 2007 King Review. The King Review investigated vehicle and fuel technologies that could help reduce carbon emissions; Julia can be seen talking about her Review at youtube.This is a great opportunity to discuss major issues with a respected expert who plays and will play a key role in advising the Government.
