Charles Darwin Exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery
Lunar Society Members are warmly invited to a private view at 5.30pm to 8pm on 26th November of a special exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery to celebrate the bicentenary of Charles Darwin
(1809-2009). 'Dreams of Science: Charles Darwin in
the Russian Imagination' will be open here from
26th November 2008 to 16th January 2009.
The exhibition presents artworks by two Russian
artists, Mikhail Yezuchevskii (1880-1928) and Victor Yevstafiev (1916-1989) from
the collection of the State Darwin Museum, Moscow. The exhibition will also
include the portrait of Erasmus Darwin by Joseph Wright of Derby from the
collection of Wolverhampton Art Gallery.Curator's talks:

On Friday, 9th January 2009. 6.00-9.00
pm, there is the theatrical performance 'Beyond
Paradise' by the actor Christopher
Robbie. The performance consists of two parts with 20
minutes interval. Cost is £5.00. Tickets are on sale
from the Reception. Seats are limited, so booking is
necessary.
